轮胎知识普及：

四季胎和雪胎最大分别，是前者胎的质地较硬，且接触地面面积较小，在下雪时容易「跣胎」 雪胎的质地较软，接触地面面积较多，因此在雪地行驶时当需要刹车时，会较「抓地」。雪胎之所以会较四季胎「抓地」，除了胶质较软，而且胎纹也是经过特别设计的，容易把雪、「雪浆」及水分排走，减少跣胎。专家强调，大家不要有一个错误观念，认为换上雪胎后冬天在雪地上行驶便安全十足，仍需慢驶才是上策。尤其在冰面上行驶，尽管雪胎的最大优点是较四季胎减低停车距离30%，但保持低速还是最安全的。

购买雪胎小贴士

雪胎种类繁多达20多种，大家可选择适合自己的车型更换。入冬前，当外间温度徘徊在摄氏7度间，便可考虑更换雪胎。雪胎在冬天使用时，四季胎则停止使用直至翌年3月，其损耗速度相应减慢，所以购置雪胎同样维持经济效益。如果要更换雪胎的话，最好更换一整套雪胎，四个雪胎最好是同一个品牌和型号。如果你只想更换两个，那这两个新的雪胎也最好是同一个品牌和型号，同时建议安装在车子后轮上，可以改进汽车的牵引动力。雪胎的使用寿命通常为3至4年，雪胎纹路的深浅决定其安全性，一般来说，雪胎表面仅有30%深的纹路是针对雪天气候而制的，如果纹路磨损超过40%以上，雪胎应有的功效已经丧失，驾驶者应考虑更换新的雪胎。

提示1：购买雪胎时不妨再购买4个轮毂(RIM)，这样可以在每年换胎的时候省掉扒胎及作平衡检查的步骤，避免对轮胎造成不必要磨损，还可以减少安装的费用。

提示2：换上雪胎后冬天在雪地上行驶并非安全十足﹐要慢驶才是上策﹐尤其是当地面结冰时﹐什么样的雪胎对减速都起不了多大作用。
